New intern tips – how to join the Praha Trainees email group

'Tis a legend left behind by a golden Polish heart, yet lived on by generations of young and passionate personalities from all over the world.
It had its dark days under spam attack, yet with joint effort the obstacles have been overcome.
It is known as the best way to stay connected and posted with the very happening community, yet it remains mysterious how to join it and therefore various requests have been raised, questions have been asked, and erroneous actions have been taken. To je škoda.

And finally, these following few lines (especially Scenario C) are here to save your time and brain cells.

Scenario A – when you have this page open
1. Follow this link.
2. Click the blue "Join This Group!" button on the up right corner of the page.
3. You need a Yahoo! ID to sign in with.
4. Fill out the message body with your name, where you are from, how you are related to the community (AIESECer/intern/alumni/CEED/gansta interested in our girls and/or boys, etc), and why you want to join. This information is essential since our group moderators don't know everyone and cannot tell who you are from your email address. So give complete information but keep it simple. Be aware that you can't send a message to the group if you are not a member, but once you join in you get messages sent from everyone in the group. So make sure your inbox capacity is big enough.
5. An automatic message will be sent to the group moderator for approval.
6. Once the request is approved you will receive a system notification which marks the beginning of your glorious times in the group, including the access to the live report of which part of Prague is snowing.

Scenario B – when you don't remember this blog post link in the future (damn you) or when you don't have internet around you the moment you are explaining this procedure to others, remember the following steps
1. Open Yahoo! Group main page.
2. Type 'praha_trainees' into the 'Find a Yahoo! Group' search bar.
3. This shall be the only result that returns.
4. Then you go on with Scenario A from Step 2 on.

Scenario C – Invitation
1. Chances are you might also be invited by the group moderator to join the group.
2. The moderator will have to find out your email address and send you an invitation via the website.
3. You can sit back and do sod all until you have to click a link in the email notification of the invite.
4. In order to achieve this level of hasslelessness you will have to:
a. Be a super nice, fun and good-looking person;
b. Find out who the moderator(s) is/are; and
c. Buy him/her/them a lot of beer.

Good luck.
